Philip Hall

Before moving into Cyber AI & Automation, I led cyber intelligence, assurance and awareness. I specialised in attacker behaviour, threat intelligence and translating complex cyber risks into clear, practical advice.

Making complex issues understandable

Cyber security and AI can become abstract very quickly. One of my strengths is making them understandable without oversimplifying them.

I have built trusted relationships with board members, C-level executives, technical specialists and people across the wider business. Over time, I have often become the person colleagues call when an important cyber or AI issue needs to be understood, explained or moved forward.

I also collaborate internationally with cyber leaders on threat intelligence, emerging AI risks and future capability development.

Writing, advocacy and purpose

I publish research, analysis and practical guides covering AI security, autonomous agents, cyber threats, automation, governance and emerging technology.

Outside cyber security, I advocate for Australians living with type 1 diabetes through writing, public speaking and engagement with policymakers.

My career has always been driven by the same idea: adopt emerging technology early, understand it properly and use it to make life safer, healthier and better for people.

Technology has never been the destination. People are.
